IF YOUR CHILD IS EXPERIENCING A LIFE-THREATENING EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY!

      We are also more than happy to assist you with urgent medical questions or "sick child" questions during our regular office hours. Our trained advice nurses can be reached at (703) 391-0900. This service is available from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Your call will be transferred to our receptionist who will alert the Advice Nurse immediately. You will receive instructions from the nurse to either report to a hospital emergency room or to our office.  If the situation is stable, you will be given advice as to what to do and what time to bring your child into be office.

      After hours advice is also available for urgent medical issues. Pediatric trained advice nurses will help you decide if you need to seek care immediately for your child's urgent illness and/or if you need to go to the emergency room. This service is not to be used for routine questions. To reach this service, please call (703) 391-0900 and follow the telephone prompts.
lf needed, they will contact the on-call  physician. The physician does not have access to either the appointment schedule or the patient's medical record. Again, if your child is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911!
