Disclaimer		 Varicella Vaccine (Chicken Pox vaccine)

Varicella (aka "chicken pox) virus is the virus that causes Varicella more commonly knows as chickenpox.

Complete vaccination consists of 2 shots.
The first shot is routinely given at the 12 months well check up. Pt must be at least 1 years old before the vaccine can be given.
The second shot is routinely given at the 5 year or older well check up.

Please read the Vaccine information sheet (VIS) for Varicella for more information. We will also provide you with the VIS at the time of the vaccine administration.
