completing health/school forms.
TDap for
upcoming 6th Graders
If your child is entering
6th grade and has not turned 11 years old we offer two
options..
HIB Vaccine
Effective immediately, we will not be giving the HIB vaccine
booster at 12-15 months due to a national shortage as a result of the
Merck recall in December. The primary series that an infant gets at 2,
4, and 6 months should confer enough immunity for the time being, but
the children who do not get the booster will need a “make up booster” at
a future date – when the supply is regenerated.
Merck Vaccine Recall
On 12/12/07 Merck recalled over one million Hib vaccine. FPA
does not use Hib vaccine made by Merck. Our Hib vaccine comes from
another manufacturer Sanofi Aventis.
